The Global Dry Toilet Association of Finland is a registered Finnish association founded in 2002 to promote the use of dry toilets.
Our vision is to make dry toilets an essential part of sustainable development, thus securing clean waters and a healthy environment for future generations. Our mission is to introduce functioning dry toilets together with controlled management of toilet waste and to make people aware of the benefits of dry sanitation.

The Global Dry Toilet Club published a new brochure which presents the
Finnish dry toilet manufacturers. The brochure was published in the beginning

The ideal gift for Christmas: a toilet
At Christmas, what can you give someone who already has everything they
need? Why not buy on their behalf something that someone else might need
desperately - a toilet. A scheme run by the Global Dry Toilet Club of
Finland allows sponsors to support a low-tech sanitation scheme in rural

The Dry Toilet 2006
The Second International Dry Toilet Conference was held August 16 - 19 in Tampere, in Finland. The conference was attended by 140 participants from 34 countries. We thank all the participants for making a successful conference!

Dry Toilets to Zambia
Dry Toilet Club of Finland has started a three year project to build dry
toilets to Zambia, Kaloko region. For more information, contact project
co-ordinator Sari Huuhtanen, sambia(a)huussi.net. Project is financed
by Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland.
